You could try working with a few ad networks — like HilltopAds, Ezoic, Clickadu, or whatever else catches your eye. Take a look at what kind of traffic each one prefers, run a couple of tests, and see where you can actually make the most.
If your audience is active, making some solid cash from it shouldn’t be a problem at all.

If i was you i would try to build a capture email page on making money as example
I know its not apropiated as your niche its not related to making money but having so much traffic from so many people few of them would like to know more about my making money method
In the landing page i would link to an affiliate offer and i would build also my list and build value etc and from time to time send them more offers
But dont take this from good as i dont have experience monetizing news site and this its my opinion
