How to increase traffic?

You are ranking high in some obscure search? being #1 in something rarely searched doesn't work (if that is the case).
If you are ranking high for your brand search -- no one is searching your brand.
Same applies for your domain name (like a brand)

Hello,

There are many ways you can increase traffic on your website.

Advertise is so obvious, we’re going to look at it first. Paid search, social media advertising and display advertising are all excellent ways of attracting visitors.

If you’re hoping that more traffic to your site will also result in more sales, you’ll need to target high commercial intent keywords as part of your paid search strategies

Optimizing your content for search engines is still a valuable and worthwhile practice.

Website traffic can be increased by various on page and off page activities. Various link building techniques such as guest posting, article submission, social bookmarks and classified ads help to generate good traffic. Social media optimization also helps to generate good traffic.

Website traffic is both an important indicator and driver of business growth. It can help you to:

See how well your marketing is working

Gather insight about your audience to make decisions

Improve your SEO and search engine credibility

Generate more leads, increase conversions, and get more customers

These are some ways to drive more traffic to website:

1. Perform On-Page SEO

There are many SEO tactics you can perform on each of your website pages to increase their rank in search engines and get more visitors. This includes producing high-quality content that your audience is searching for, and writing concise meta descriptions for your pages. The meta description appears below your URL in search results. Knowing what a page is about and what will result in a click makes users much more likely to do so.

2. Post to Social Media with Hashtags

Use social media to promote blog posts and other useful content on your website. This way you can get your social media followers to your site, as well as users in your followers’ networks who share your content. By adding hashtags to posts that promote your website pages, you can extend your reach beyond your network and get discovered by users searching for your products and services.

3. Use Landing Pages

Create landing pages specific to your offers, such as for redeeming discount codes, downloading a free guide, or starting a free trial. Landing pages are another source of traffic to your website. Plus, they contain the details users need in order to move forward and convert.

4. Target Long-Tail Keywords

While short-tail keywords are often searched more frequently, it is more difficult to rank for them on search engines. Targeting long-tail keywords, on the other hand, gives you a better chance of ranking higher (even on the first page) for queries specific to your products and services—and higher ranking means more traffic. Plus, as search engines and voice-to-text capabilities advance, people are using more specific phrases to search online.

5. Start Email Marketing

Sending out regular newsletters and promoting offers through email is a great way to stay in touch with your customers and can also help to get traffic to your website. Provide useful information and links to pages on your website where they can learn more, such as through blog posts and offer landing pages. Just make sure that you don`t continually bombard your readers with emails or your customers will either disengage with, delete, or unsubscribe from your emails.

6. Learn from Your Analytics

Use tracked links for your marketing campaigns and regularly check your website analytics. This will enable you to identify which strategies and types of content work, which ones need improvement, and which ones you should not waste your time on.

If you need traffic you need to do SEO and with SMO (Social Media). Keywords should be in top and you have to share your links in Google +, FB Page, Twitter etc. Try to do guest postings and video creation and sharing also.

Build backlinks!
Backlinks are the backbone of SEO and the key to high SERP's.
Either buy the backlinks or build them yourself via high-authority sites or guest posts.

This is a constant question asked over and over

If you are selling a design service you need to concentrate on finding clients -- clever email and one-on-one contact -- hard work and a grind ...

Generally;
  1. can you buy traffic?
  2. is that bought traffic quality traffic?
  3. what do you have more of -- money or time?
  4. can you build brand?
Your SEO will be weak until you have traffic -- audience affinity is 50% of SEO these days

30% direct ads to your website
50% filtered ads with landing pages with a 5%-10% CTR and low bounce rate
The rest every other way possible

If your overall bounce rate is <60% you will see some results -- you need the quantity.

Truth is the(internet) field is huge today -- why do you matter?

If you are already on the top of the serps consider switch this keyword to another niche related and fight for biggest one. Consider also try to comment other blogs or youtube channels.

Its good you've already done SEO and you are ranking top. Maybe you are ranking for the wrong keyword, so do something about that. If you feel your keyword is good, then try promoting your site on social media, get quality backlinks and improve your content. You can also add outbound links to your content as well as do guest posts and comment on other blogs and sites in your niche
