How to enter reference codes in bio box

Hi

I'm joining squidoo and need to enter my website link in the author bio box. Let's say my website is http://www.mysite.com - how would I put that in as a link (I know there's a html code needed).

I've just joined this forum and don't even know how to do the above in my profile (if it's allowed).

In squidoo, they also have a place for inserting a photo of me (improves sales). I know what the code should read - do I just type it in wherever it is that I want the photo to show up? I am aware that the photo has to be hosted on a domain somewhere.

It's nice to be among other beginners. I'm not totally newbie and feel that I may be able to contribute at times.
