Sure, social media is one of the best sources for free traffic, and it`s not even too hard to create good social media accounts.
Test things out, see what works for you, online marketing is a trial and error concept at the beginning.
Create a facebook page where you have good content, not just ads. The content attracts more users to your page, if you make a facebook page that only has ads you won`t manage to attract people.
And the secret is to not get discouraged at the beginning, it takes time to get things moving
