Has the World Cup Changed Your Traffic Performance?

The FIFA World Cup is now deep into the knockout stage.

Some advertisers report higher engagement and traffic volume.
Others say competition has pushed CPM up without improving profitability.

Have you noticed any significant changes in campaign performance during the tournament?

Which GEOs are performing best for you right now?

What do you got going on for this campaign?
We're seeing increased engagement across sports and betting traffic as the World Cup heads into the quarterfinals.

User activity has been especially strong around match days, while increased competition is pushing CPMs higher across many GEOs.

LATAM and several European markets continue to show high engagement as the tournament enters its decisive stage.

Curious to hear what others are seeing — are you experiencing better traffic quality, or mainly higher acquisition costs?

From what I’ve seen with organic social traffic, major sports events or political turbulence in a specific region can noticeably affect performance.

It’s pretty natural. Every user has limited space and attention on their feed, so when there’s a lot going on, it becomes much harder for regular content to break through.

So in some GEOs, big match days or regional news can temporarily lower reach and engagement, even if the offer itself is still solid.

I’d say it really depends on the niche, traffic source, and how your creatives are adapted to the event.

A tournament like the World Cup can definitely affect campaign stats: traffic volume may grow, users are more active, and some GEOs become more responsive. But at the same time, CPM can rise fast because many advertisers are trying to catch the same audience.

As for GEOs, football-heavy regions usually look more interesting right now: LATAM, MENA, and some European markets. But the final result still depends a lot on the product and the quality of the funnel.
