Has anyone tried leveraging Pinterest?

I have been blogging since early 2011 and have leveraged nearly every social media site that has ever existed except for Pinterest. I have tried using it in the past, but this thing is just beyond my comprehension. I understand how it woks, but the thing I can't get hang off is how to create boards and attract more followers.

Can you guys help me out with this? I shall be thankful to you :)

I use Pinterest. In fact, I'm slightly addicted! To create boards, click on the plus sign next to your username, then "create a board". Then just choose pins to go onto it from your home feed, and any of the categories which appeal to you (by clicking the list icon in the top left corner). You can also find users this way, and by clicking onto their profiles, you can either follow them or individual boards that they've created. You can gain followers this way too, as sometimes they'll follow back. You can also gain followers by pinning more things and creating more boards, meaning you'll appear on the home pages for categories more often. This is the best way to get followers - it's not really a social network, so people have to like your content to follow you.

I mainly use it for pinning design ideas and such, but I also use it to advertise my posts on sites like Bubblews.

Thanks for your help. It's really appreciated.

I am watching some YouTube videos right now to know more about it and see how it works :)

Pinterest is becoming quite popular. The trick is to get your content repinned or (even better) editorially pinned by readers of your blog or website. One bit of advise, is to not just pin your own content, but look for relevant content from similar sites to share. If people see you boosting their site, they will be more likely to do the same for you.

Yes, I have been doing that for quite some time to no avail. I am going to be persistent though.

I haven't yet started using it mainly because it seems more visually oriented, and I don't have many photos up on any of my sites yet. It seems rather popular with fashion and food blogs though.

This is the problem I am facing right now. I don't know where to find some good photos. Can anyone help me out with this?

I have not much success with Pinterest unlike with Facebook, Stumbleupon and Twitter.
But I did with some pinterest clone sites like WeHeartIt and Pinspire.

My niche seems to benefit more from those sites and I gain more new followers and pins everyday unlike in Pinterest, and I never even lifted both of my hands for those 2 pinterest clone sites.

I haven't had any success with Pinterest at all. Do you have any step by step tips on how to succeed? I created a board around my niche. I have used different links to post from so that I will avoid being ghosted, but I managed to get very little direct hits to my site. I've made comments on the most popular posts and I've only got a handful of followers. Nothing too substantial. So far, the return on my time investment has been horrible.

Any tips?
