Google Ranking of CMS's

I know that in the past, obtaining PR from dynamic pages on CMS's such as phpnuke and pn was difficult so many sites use a google tap module that mimics static .html in the url address.

I've considered using google tap myself but have noticed a noticeable increase in PR jump in my webforums even though the urls are usually tougher to index such as:

Are the Serps getting better at indexing dynamic pages/urls?

I was just wondering because my forums really never ranked an all of a sudden jumped up to 2 or higher in one update with no linking other than the main page of that site and network wide linking in the footer of each website to PR sites ranging from 0 - 5 of 10.

Thoughts?

Most major search engines have improved their ability to index those kind of url Ken, thugh where possible one should use search engine friendly url but over the months if not year things have improved on dynamic url indexing front
