It's like the big Stock market crash we had on NASDAC a few years ago which put the country into a recession.

All across the internet sites saw a big drop in PageRank.

washingtonpost.com coming down to a Pagerank 5 I think used to be pr 8 or 9

forbes.com declining to a PR 4

phpbb coming down to a PR 5 used to be PR9 a few weeks ago

Thanks for that info Adanan, I do not think this PR crash will put anything into recession online. The way PR is view would just be different that is all.

I updated all the sites in my directory to see if there is a general trend... and yes, most PR's are going down, especially directories and blogs...

On the other hand, I saw massive increase of PR (from 0 to 6) on some directories...that are hosted outside the US  (I mean with a non-english visitor profile)
Seems to me that there was a big "manual" intervention on this PR update with a special focus to heavily and wellknown directories on the US market.

Just my feeling...

Did any of you directoryowners made a general update of the PR in your directories ?
