I was a little surprised by the word 'Billion' being a 'bad' word. The rest made sense to me, as they seemed a little more focused on the 'me' instead of the 'you' and some of the words trigger an association with sell language.

Also, if you're talking about words like 'implementation', I agree with the article that it invokes the idea that there is going to be something complicated to the average Joe.

Simple language that makes the reader think they will get something of value for them still holds true, I think.
 
MY company -- people could care less I see that all the time LOL
Unless the statement is; {my company has [this benefit for YOU]} it's just blowing your own horn and clapping with one hand. Still, many people just don't get it -- and they fade away.
