Gimp Vs Photoshop?

Ok, I know that Photoshop (at least in my opinion) is better, but you can't
beat the price of Gimp compared to Adobe's pricing.

But that's not my point :) Does anyone have a great "this is how you do
Photoshop stuff in Gimp" tutorial, as the ones I've found on Google search
are not doing it for me.
 
I only use the gimp for quick cropping as its a lot quicker to load other than that I always use PS :)

I have heard about gimp, but never used that before. Personally i am a big fan of Photoshop, i suppose it is a very handy tool for webdesigners. Only thing i dislike in PS that i regulary launch accidentally the Imageready as well, though i don't need it:)

or adobe bridge! slows your computer down so much!
 
I used to do a lot of work in Ulead Photoimpact and Fireworks but after I got comfortable with PS - there is no way back.
 
I should not have titled this thread "Gimp Vs Photoshop" - but should have called it,
"My Favorite Gimp tutorial" :)

So, does anyone have a great "this is how you do Photoshop stuff in Gimp" tutorial, as
the ones I've found on Google search are not doing it for me. :)
