Free Wordpress Plan, Too Soon to Apply for Programs???

Hi there,
I have a WordPress account that is NOT upgraded to premium or business.

I understand theres a lot of plug ins that will help, like SEO and Pretty Links.. and adding a header for things like Google Analytics....

That being said would it be too soon to start applying for affiliate programs?

Thanks in advance! I'm a newbie!

Nevermind! Looked a little more into it. The answer is no!

Wordpress's free plan is for non-profit, i would risk having my blog removed.
Either way, it's highly recommended to go ahead and invest a little (a lot to me) of $$$ to get this started. Basically for the reasons I mentioned. Plug ins. The domain thing is a no brainer though.

Thanks guys!

Even better.. I've finally figured out what the heck! There's a wordpress.com, which is the content one, and .org the publishing one, which you can use that one on bluehost.

So if you use both, you'll pay for the domain with bluehost, and pay for the tools with wordpress?

My god the more answers I get, the more questions I have.

I do have a better outlook on how i plan on managing my site in the future. How exciting.

I think you may have figured this out already, but wordpress.com provides hosting for you. You can download Wordpress from Wordpress.org for free and use it on your own server. Many plugins and themes are free if you use the .org.

You can also monitize your site however you want with .org. With .com you are limited.

You rock. Thank you for taking the time to help clarify this for me. Take care of yourself, god bless!

I am, but im ready to move on. My question boils down to adding affiliate links to my free wordpress plan, which turns out i cant. On free wordpress I don't own any of my content and it can be shut down.

its good to start promoting only when you've enough traffic and you can stay with wordpress.com and try to put in a lot of content and if you've much traffic you can monetize your blog with their minetization system and when you're ready to go for self hosted domain you can do it its easy you only need to redirect visiters from your old blog to the new one and this one its easy too just search youtube or hit me up i can help you
