Hi

I have a question, I am running face book ppc campaigns and i am extracting all the most active users (custom audience) on a specific page, what i need to know is the following: If I run a offer in the US all the non us residents on that specific page will go to a generic landing page, so is there a way that I can filter my target audience to the US Only. If I select US on the targeting option I dont think it makes any difference.

Hi Juan,

Why do you say it won't make a difference? If you target US only than only people from US will see your ads.

Thanks for the reply, Ok I thought that if you use custom audience it overrides all the other setting for example age, gender,location etc, and that they only show the ad to the people that you have targeted. Please let me know if I am wrong.

How do you extract the users from a specific page? Do you use a special tool for that?

Generally speaking yes, if you use custom audience with you are targeting a list of people you already know...which is implied that the list is already filtered. If you use a special tool it may have an option to target by country or you can use a geo-redirection tool like the one from AffKit which you get for free with the Dojo and set the rule for US visitors and the rest: AffKit.com > Geo redirection

Thanks for the reply, I am using SLF from Ali G but there is no country targeting just extracting the users id but will use the geo redirect script instead

Honestly, nobody will tell their campaigns. You need to test by yourself until you find the winner. However, you can get some suggestions from your affiliate manager like what works for Facebook PPC right now or some angle advice....but more than that you won't find anywhere.
