My questions is are the email swipes from common clickbank affiliate resources actually good? For example in a product called 2 week diet, they have a 14 day long email swipes that honestly provides no content. However if these "high converting" swipes work, then I'll definitely use them.

Greetings Wayne, I m not sure of the email swipe contents. the advertise usually have tested it probably it will convert.
However in term of deliverability some of those templates been abused by spammers, using those templates could cause bulking (your campaign will end up on junk folder or even worst blocked) - so you would be better off if you recreated the template from scratch using an email builder.
