Do you think SEO may cease to exist?

Do you think it's even possible? For example, if a completely new way of searching for information appears and takes root (I find it hard to imagine what, but still), then what will happen to this industry and all the specialists?

Search AI and paid ads will further usurp SEO SERPS. Writing is on the wall. Get while the gettin' is good ;)

It's unlikely that SEO will cease to exist anytime soon. As long as people continue to use search engines to find information online, there will be a need for website owners and marketers to optimize their content to appear in relevant search results.

That being said, the specific techniques and strategies used in SEO are constantly evolving, as search engines become more sophisticated and new technologies emerge. For example, the rise of natural language processing and voice search is likely to have a significant impact on how SEO is done in the future, with a greater emphasis on conversational language and long-tail keywords.

Additionally, as search engines become better at understanding user intent and delivering personalized search results, SEO may become more focused on creating high-quality, relevant content that meets the needs of specific audiences, rather than on manipulating search engine algorithms.

So while SEO may continue to evolve and change, it is unlikely that it will disappear altogether. As long as there are search engines and people using them to find information, there will be a need for website owners and marketers to optimize their content for search.

It is unlikely that SEO (Search Engine Optimization) will cease to exist entirely, but it is possible that the nature of SEO may change in the future.

The internet and search engines are likely to continue to evolve and change, and SEO strategies may need to adapt to new technologies and user behaviors. However, as long as people use search engines to find information and businesses need to attract customers online, there will likely be a need for SEO.

In my opinion, SEO is likely to remain a part of the marketing mix for years to come, but I do agree that its nature may change. Will change, actually. I don't it's possible to predict at this point how exactly, but it will.

Are you talking about chat GPT? Google will buy that thing when it starts to affect their business.

lets say seo does fall off which I dont believe it will and something like chat gpt takes over the majority of search. Then you will have a new business model of trying to "trick " the ai in picking your site over others so basically just a new form of seo will happen.

Well, yes, I agree. There is always a new thing that takes the place of the old one.

Who knows, maybe someday we'll all be using voice commands to find what we're looking for, or perhaps some kind of advanced AI technology will be developed that makes searching obsolete. However, even if that were to happen, I still believe that businesses will always need to find ways to promote themselves online.
