Developer Trying to Get a Better Understanding of Mobile Affiliate Marketing

I recently got interested in mobile affiliate marketing. I have colleagues who make a killing with it and I thought this might be worth checking out. So here I am. I am still not understanding everything but gradually getting there. That's one of the reasons I am here actually.
Hopefully I will be able to contribute back as soon as possible.
