Getting expired domains that have a good Domain Authority, with a few hundred backlinks is one of the easiest ways of ranking affiliate sites.
I have been doing some research, and look at the following parameters to check whether the domain is valuable..
1. Check age
2. Check Moz DA/PA
3. Validate source of backlinks, and the anchor text (I used Majestic SEO/AHREF for a limited free analysis)
4. Verify whether Google SERPs list the website in some shape and form
There is a lot of trash to go through before what looks like a good domain.
1. Before going head-first into buying a few, I wanted to know whether I am missing anything?
2. Is there any good way to know whether the domain has been penalised by Google before?
I am just being careful due to my limited budget.
