I am testing an app on CPI with 700 MBs size. After around 2000 clicks, there are no conversions whatsoever. I am targeting both Wi-Fi and Carriers but thinking about downloading this size with 3G is nearly impossible... So how would you promote this kind of offers?

I'd definitely ditch carrier traffic for 700Mb.

What kind of traffic are you using? Banner, Popup, text?
Is the offer converting well for others? Also, app installs tend to convert even a few days after your promoted them because the pixel fires when the user opens the app, which doesn't happen immediately most of the times.

Thanks man, I got a couple of conversions - using interstitials now.

Its a new offer, so there is no much data - but its a very famous app thus I would tend to thing people download it in Tier 1 countries with LTE and faster mobile connectivity. Will post some results here later.

    Thanks for your insight!

If your app was useful to users, no matter how large your app size is, they will download it. So the most important part is create a functional and high quality app. And here are some app promotion methods for you.

    Optimise Your Social Media Channels
Update your social media channels with banners that promote your new app. Include links to your App’s promo site in your bio.

Integrate Social share Within The App
Take app promotion one step deeper by having your own app promote itself. By including the option within your app to share their screens and share in-app content, you broaden your app’s visibility and create a platform by which your users can express themselves.

    Email Marketing
You can build your email list by adding a sign-up form on your website or collect email addresses on the internet. Send an email to your existing customers when pre and post launch. When sending your email pre-launch try to create hype or excitement about downloading your app.

    Create A Give Away Promotion
Create a post about your new app and ask people to share it, like your page on Facebook and download your app for a chance to win a prize that’s relevant to your business, this helps to boost awareness for your app.

    Social Media Promotion
Advertising and promoting your App now and then on social media is great. However, its a consistent need to produce and create a steady social promotion policy. When you push your app out to your followers consistently, it becomes a core characteristic of your business.

Some other important ideas for online promotion through social media could be to integrate your App into your overall page branding like your Twitter Header Image or your Facebook Cover Photo.

Moreover, social word of mouth is one of the best ways to boom your customer base. Invest some time in social sharing so users can flaunt what they have just accomplished.

    Ask users for Feedback
The higher the ratings are for your app, the healthier the chance of it being downloaded. That’s why it’s important to ask your happiest customers to leave reviews – you can do this by email, asking them in person or by automating the process within your app.Or you can get app reviews from third parties, like reviewapp4u and bestreviewapp.

    Reach Out To Influencers
Influencers are individuals with the power to influence the buying and engagement decisions of a certain group of people.Developing honest, authentic, and mutually beneficial relationships with influencers will go a long way in helping to promote your app.

    Apply for Awards
Participating in app awards is the most recommended channel and I would highly suggest you take advantage of it. It can give you tons of press, exposure, reviews and plenty of downloads.

SEO not ASO, explore search engines and it can do wonders for your app. what happens is your app URL shows up in search results when users key-in related queries. All you need to do is identify “best-targeted” keywords that you want to rank for. Also analyze which keywords your app is currently ranking on, build some quality links accordingly to boost rankings.

    Recruit Customers Locally
Meetups, events and conferences can be a great place to recruit new mobile app users. Simply bring along a stack of business cards with your app download link on them and give them out to everyone you speak to.
