I love Vbulletin for all the reasons already mentioned.

If you're looking for something a lot less complex, then GetVanilla would be a good option

Vbulletin is my first choice. But if you want to start with free script then you can go wit phpBB as well.

i'd go for SMF, but u can also try the new version of PHPBB3 ...

If you want to be serious about forums... vbulletin is the way to go... but if your low on cash go with smf ^_^

I think the best one is not on your list, its vBulletin

vBulletin is the winner. I tried phpBB before and it gave me too many problems, although phpBB is the most popular one since it's free.
