I'm so affiliate marketing focused that it never occurred to me to use affiliate tracking software to track other types of advertising. Here's an article from Paul McDonald over at the Center for Marketing Small Business that goes into more detail.
Paul writes, "Many people don't realise that affiliate system has more uses than just "simple" affiliate management. It can be used to track activity (including conversions and ROI) of campaigns running on AdWords, Overture, or anywhere else." Just blogged the above, but wanted to ask here if anyone has ever used AM tracking software to track other types of ads. Seems like it would be pretty smart for tracking and comparing the success of various ad campaigns.
