I wanted to share a few points about the sign up process at affiliate networks that might be helpful to marketers just starting out. A lot of times people aren't aware that networks look for these certain things when reviewing a potential affiliate's application. Sometimes it could mean the difference between getting approved and getting good offers to run or being denied.
1. Make sure your IP address and sign-up address match (especially the country IP location).
2. Make sure the phone number you sign up with works. Most networks won't approve a new affiliate if they can't reach them by phone.
3.It's never a good idea to use a PO box number for your address.
4.Set up your email address to reflect the name of your company or website (you@yourwebsitename.com). Don't use a free mail address (gmail,aol,yahoo,etc) as part of your company/website email address.
