Affiliate marketing programs

Hi, I am just starting out to launch affiliate marketing programs for my website. I have several questions regarding the mechanism of the programs. I hope that you guys can help me answer some questions.
  • Suppose I have more than 1 affiliate partner. Let's say that all partners direct customers to my landing page. So when the customer purchases the goods, the commissions will go to which partner? The partner with the website where our customers first got redirected to our product? Or the partner with the website that helps a customer make a purchase? I know that customers might have a habit of browsing through several sites before making a final decision, so what is the mechanism to divide commissions among them?
  • What are the available options to build an affiliate program without using affiliate links (e.g., coupons, etc. ). I know a few, so I hope you guys can share some real examples.

You want to use either;
  1. A reputable affiliate network to manage this
  2. Independent software to manage this --this requires a lot of things --mainly that is it not cookie-cutter crap (pun intended)
  3. Custom Tracking software hire a developer and then keep a programmer or 2 on staff
I know a few, so I hope you guys can share some real examples.
See #3
Basically you can track anything with ?key1=value1&key2=value2&key3=value3
Another way is to use subdomain for affiliates and track by the subdomain
Another way is to use whitelabel clone domains

You can enrich the platform with an email marketing strategy so that you have a captive database. If you want more info i have a grate opportunity. Regards!

Hi, how are the commission offers on the international market?
In Germany I have found only one partner who pays with 50% REV + 15€ PPS.
Others pay a maximum of 30% or 35% REV and that without PPS
Thanks for your tips and answers

  1. item #1 pays 20% but converts 3% of your traffic
  2. item #2 pays 40% but converts 1% of your traffic
  3. item #3 pays 80% but converts none of your traffic
Which is a better solution?

Conversion ratios and the money amount ROAS/ROMI is what matters.
You have to invest in testing and see what your actual return is.

You're absolutely right, but why shouldn't I also look for and then test the ones that promise high payouts?
I do not know in advance what converts with my traffic and what does not.
Since I want to test the international market, I want to stretch my arms in all directions.
