It should be convincing without being overwhelming. Some affiliates have greater success with simpler, more visual landing pages, whereas other affiliates may find greater success with long-form sales letters.

Regardless of your approach, it’s important that the call to action is featured prominently on the landing page. It may even appear multiple times. It’s also critically important that you make it as easy as possible to complete the phone call. If the landing page can integrate with a customer’s existing VoIP or Skype, that’s a definite advantage. The customer may submit an online form, but the conversion is not deemed successful until the order is confirmed by phone.

So make sure your landing pages make it abundantly clear that the customer needs to put the appropriate number for a call-center service’ callback. You don’t want to lose sales partway through the process.

The Best Traffic Sources
“If you build it, they will come.” As much as we would like to believe this iconic line from the 1989 American movie Field of Dreams, it simply is not the case in the real world and it definitely is not the case in the world of affiliate marketing. If you want users to visit your landing page, you have to figure out how to get them there.

The truth of the matter is that there is no magic bullet, no miraculous traffic source that has remained the most prized secret of all the top affiliates. It comes down to a lot of experimentation and optimization based on a myriad of different factors. Working with cash-on-delivery offers is no different.

Some affiliates find their greatest success with PPC marketing, others with email marketing, others still with article marketing or social media marketing. Leverage your existing expertise and be prepared to learn about other opportunities.

If an offer is targeted at mobile users in Lithuania, for instance, why would you pay to send desktop users from Singapore to that landing page? We’ve written previously about some of the tracking software options available to you on the Internet. Most of these are paid services with multiple tiers of plans available to suit your budget and your needs. They are oftentimes well worth the investment after you have taken the time to learn how to leverage their power accordingly.

At their most basic level, trackers can provide insight into the particulars of each user arriving on your landing pages. You may know their geographical location, the device they are using, what browser they are using and much, much more. This data can be used to determine what subset of users result in the highest conversion rates, but a much more fruitful use of this data requires an additional layer of processing.

Sometimes also known as a traffic direction system, a traffic distribution system (TDS) is an advanced redirection script. It is able to detect the data that your tracker has learned about the user and split the traffic in real time against your defined parameters. For instance, you might direct a user to a particular landing page based on what country they are in. The person in Romania gets the Romanian landing page, whereas the person in Slovenia gets the Slovenian landing page. This lends itself to a far more optimized approach and significantly higher conversion rates, since you’re not wasting any traffic.

In effect, the TDS turns into a traffic hub, splitting out the users to a different path or page based on the criteria that you set. Simply define the rules and the TDS will make the appropriate decision as visitors arrive. If you are serious about making money as an affiliate marketer, a TDS is positively invaluable. You can recoup the associated costs very easily if you have great, targeted landing pages and set the right redirection rules.

Popular TDS providers include Keitaro and BossTDS (if you have a lot of traffic sources).

Managing Cash Flow and ROI
Perhaps the greatest advantage of working with cash-on-delivery offers is that you don’t have to wait an extended period of time for users to convert. Users only have two lines to fill in and a phone call to complete. That’s all it takes to convert and you literally get cash-on-delivery.

But you cannot allow yourself to rest on your laurels. The story is about how we purchased all the traffic from ExoClick

So, it was in this way: While all the offers for Thailand were being closed for publishers, we were testing our advertiser with the help of our internal resources, so we were buying a lot of traffic from different ad platforms. Since there are a few local ad platforms in Thailand, we were buying traffic from well-known international ad platforms.

Below is an example of buying traffic from adult adnetwork ExoClick. During the whole week our traffic manager was buying all the traffic with the only one parameter of targeting “Thailand” without a black-list.

He was buying banners and click under traffic and bidding according to ExoClick recommendations.
We are going to conceal banners of the teaser ad platform with the help of a hider and place it on external resources since the banners are for extreme adult campaigns. We do not want anybody to consider them as a spread of adult materials. The material is strictly 18+ (if you are under aged, do not open).

**Note that while we were running a test purchase, there were other offers payout conditions for webmasters and traffic managers. The payout rate for traffic managers is a priori 20% lower than it is for webmasters.

Traffic manager who was running a test purchase claimed that 50% approval rate and 1500 leads on click under – was a really good result. Also, traffic manager stated that after he had purchased traffic and had spent on it $13 000, he managed to get back the money spent eventually. It is a pity we couldn’t find a screenshot of that case.

After running this campaign, ExoClick traffic was considered to be of a good quality. 50% approval rate on a click under traffic showed that this offer was really good, there was a big volume, and it looked very promising. Of course, after that he made black and white lists, so the statistics was absolutely different, but the history is silent about it.

Although, do not hurry to jump off the deep end. This case study dates back to June 2016.

Of course, if this scheme was still profitable, our traffic manager wouldn’t share this information with anybody. Anyway, the one who really wants it will find a cost-efficient way of how to purchase traffic from ExoClick for our offers.

Custom pre-lander page – how to make it bring leads…

Custom pre-landing page can either increase the amount of leads immensely or reduce it to zero. The tool is well-known, though it is not that widely used. In the meantime, some super affiliates cannot imagine the process of traffic running without it.

In a few words, each leads funnel ends in the “narrowest” location – on the landing page. The aim of a pre-landing page is to “warm up” users right before sale, and by doing this, to increase the final amount of leads gathered. Strange though it might sound, years ago very few people knew about CPA pre-landing pages and they were used by webmasters only on their own resources in order to increase the amount of conversions.

It was not infrequent that when webmasters used pre-landers the amount of conversions had the edge over average one in several networks that webmasters were suspected of fraud. Long after, most CPA-networks recognized all the beauty of this tool, so they started creating their own pre-landers trying to outdo each other; moreover, they started to borrow them actively from each other along with landing pages.

There was the time in CPA marketing when webmasters turned into publishers. All the skills in websites building became of secondary importance; every housewife can run traffic possessing very little knowledge of html (or even without any).

To sum up, networks became the main manufacturers of pre-landers. Needless to say, only large networks can maintain a lot of employees (designers, web-page designers, copywriters and etc) to do it professionally and in vast numbers. Others (small networks) can only copy and resell.

E.g. there was the case when our colleagues from another CPA-network have used their advertiser’s landing pages for their own products and gave him marching orders.

What I am about to say that right now the vast majority of webmasters prefer using ready-made pre-landers of the network they work with rather than spending time and efforts on creating their own ones. And the advantages are:

- Pre-landers have already been tested by the network itself;
- AM is always ready to tell you what the best pre-lander is;
- You don’t have to worry about resources and domains. If the server with a pre-lander goes down, network will surely make up losses;
- The main benefit is the lack of financial expenses. If you don’t get conversions – just take another pre-lander/landing page. Not a big deal!

When people are concentrating on traffic generation, they happen to ignore the most important stage of a conversion funnel. Meanwhile, the most incredible conversion rate is due to “handmade” pre-landers. For example, you are always looking at the statistics of many people admiring their 10% CR. The secret is that they are doing almost all the creative materials by themselves. And they keep it all in secret what allows them not be afraid of competitors (until his pre-landers are tracked by spy tools). And the manager of a network can not advise you the same pre-lander since it even doesn’t belong to the system.

So, webmaster who generates decent volume of leads can always count on resources of a network he works with. He can make an exclusive agreement with his networks to have a pre-lander designed especially for him and his traffic source and no one else’s. Your pre-landing page privacy is guaranteed (as long as you are making use of it by yourself).

To get a unique private pre-lander – means that you are head and shoulders above all your competitors. Although, one can never get it in advance. You need to run traffic first, and then you’ll get the service. You’ll get the custom lend only if you are a reliable partner. That’s it.

Answering the question: “What I need to do to get conversions” here is important thing to highlight: “To get conversions you need to be an adequate partner, to make up marketing strategies, to ask your network to get private pre-landers and to supply your network with leads.”
