awwhh don't know why but aol and this forum don't seem to like each other. lol:) I made a post and forgot and it doesn't post it...just goes back for me to log in. In a hurry so won't repost it

Quick answer
For laughs - Two and a half men
More not for laughs - Greys Anatomy

Don't really watch too much else except Law and Order sometimes

Well some people who are far more intellectual than I (ahemmmm, Larry)
may laugh, but I absolutely love Gray's Anatomy. I hate watching anything more than once but I've watched most episodes more than 3 times and just never get bored. I just LOVE the characters and the story lines.

FYI I don't watch TV to get smart or exercise my mind. (I do that online.)
I watch it for pure enjoyment and escapism,
and happily admit how shallow I am. :p :D

Da mother of all Ken Jennings clips!!! I *never* watch TV, but I watched some of the days with Ken Jennings!!!!

What would your theme song be if you had your own radio show?

How many of you are spreading the word about 5 Star and about this thread?

Because it is your theme song that doesn't mean it has to be your favorite song. It would be a song that fits you, your show or just something that has the right sound for your show.

I worked in radio as a disc jockey and a newscaster. As a newscaster I displayed my serious side. As a disc jockey (DJ) I showed my wild side.

We wanted to come up with a nickname for me when I was doing DJ work. Since this was my wild side, we came up with The Wild One.

A few ideas were considered for my theme song. We finally decided to go with something that had "wild one" in it. That didn't give us a lot of choices. I am a male and what we ended up with was a song about a female. It was felt that wouldn't matter too much since "wild one" would be what was mostly noticed. However to play it safe the entire song was seldom played. Only selected portions were used and they added up to just about 20 seconds.

This was my actual theme song.

How about you? What would your theme song be if you had your own radio show?

Here is mine Larwee. It is what I truly believe. :) All you out there in 5 Star Land ... Remember Just Love Yourself and Dream.

Larwee The Wild One! :D Too funny!
Since you are such a private person it's hard to
imagine you cutting it up on the airwaves.

I've never heard that song before Deb. Nice One.

Linda, there are some shy people on the air. You would never tell it by listening to them. There are also private people on the air. They use a style that keeps it from being obvious that they are very private people. Still they can be full of life and a bunch of fun.

In this thread I'm telling a number of things about myself, but there are lots of personal things I won't talk about that most other people would.

You heard the theme song that was selected. It would have been easier if we hadn't been trying to come up with something that could connect with a name, but that is the approach that was taken. I said "we" because I wasn't the only person involved in making the decision.

Here is the one that was the second choice. It was considered because my name is Larry. The choices are very limited when looking for a song that has "Larry" in it. Once again the lyrics don't really fit but it was just the name "Larry" that was of interest and key portions could have been selected for that.

This is the song that came in second when a theme song was selected for my show.

Who is your favorite actress?

I have already mentioned that I don't like movies and I don't go to movies. I sometimes see portions of movies on television.

Since I'm not a movie fan I can't say that I have a favorite actress. But I know a lot of you are movie fans and will have no problem coming up with your favorite actress.

I selected one only because she is very famous and I've heard about her. I know you can come up with one based upon your actual experience. I selected Julia Roberts.

Back to your 1st post this morning about the other theme song...

"Hats Off to Larry" too funny! I never knew there was a song with Larry in it.
That's a good one.

Fav actress... hmmm I should have one, but one is not standing out for me right now.

A couple favs are Jennifer Aniston She's a Good Girl : Photos : Rolling Stone

Sandra Bullock

Katherine Heigl - in Grays Anatomy not Knocked Up (Havent seen that one, don't really like comedies much)

Larry forgot about that Del Shannon song, good one. My favorite actress at the moment would have to be Kera Knightly. Hard to believe in this clip she was only 15.

Who is your favorite actor?

I felt favorite actor would be appropriate for today since it was favorite actress yesterday.

I'm making my favorite actor selection the same way as I made my favorite actress selection since I'm not a movie fan and don't go to movies. Many of you are movie fans and will find it easy to make a selection.

I picked Tom Cruise because he is very famous and I have heard a lot about him. A lot of his movies are shown on television and I've seen portions of some of them. But I'm sure you will be able to select one based upon movies you have seen.

How about you? Who is your favorite actor?

Oooh, happy birthday to Madonna! She is probably my all-time favorite singer, it's hard to believe she's almost 50!

As for favorite actor, this one is easy for me - Leonardo DiCaprio. His earlier films got me hooked - What's Eating Gilbert Grape and The Basketball Diaries, but his work lately has been pretty awesome too:

hmmm I'm gonna need to think on that one, too. There are quite a few I like for different reasons so will think on it and come back later.:)

Since Leonardo DiCaprio was mentioned and a clip from The Departed was shown, here is an interview with Leonardo DiCaprio talking about The Departed.
