3rd Year Anniversary of Our AI Forum

I was looking at the dates of this AI sub-forum, and in a few days it’ll be three years since the first post.

In that short time, AI has significantly changed how both employees and entrepreneurs work. It’s pretty remarkable when you step back and look at it—the short term has been astounding—both in software AI LLM and the hardware that it runs on.

On the web dev side, a lot of spam has simply been replaced by AI slop—arguably the same thing, just produced faster. Low-quality content isn’t going away; it’ll mostly be ignored.

Question: How are you using AI effectively in your daily work?

For us, AI has been a game-changer in tackling technical challenges on our websites that used to feel impossible or just too time-consuming. It’s like having a super-smart teammate who never sleeps, helping us build solutions we couldn’t pull off before.

Something I did this morning: when will the war in Iran end? Based on a current polymarket betting chart.

Well, it was immediately apparent to me, that because of the early in the morning, most of the bettors were probably outside the United States and they were not aware of the War Powers Act, which requires congressional action to approve any military adventure after 60 days of its onset and if not approved by Congress another 30 days to wind down and cease hostilities.
So, I asked AI to take that into consideration and to modify the real odds and try to arrive at a realistic date of the end of the war.

Point is: without human logic interpretation the betting odds were the result of media awareness and media distortions mainly without consideration of the legal constraints and hurdles that were not considered.

That's a perfect real-world example of what separates the people who actually get results with AI from those who don't. :)

The tool gave an answer. You gave it the *right* question — informed by knowledge the model didn't have.

Which brings me back to something I keep telling myself: an AI won't take your job. A person who is *good* at AI will.

The edge isn't in having access to the tool — everyone has that now. The edge is in knowing what to ask, what to question, and what the model can't know on its own. That's still a very human skill.

keep learning new stuffs. AI makes some skills suddenly worthless, while everything else changes faster than ever.
