I just flicked through unread posts since my last visit. It seems 90% of the threads are the same posts over and over again in numerous sections and most of them are cvv related spam.
Could we minimise the number of sections on this forum to reduce the amount of duplicate threads and maybe...
As the title says. From my experience link exchanges have little positive effect on SERPs and as a traffic sources. I personally prefer to spend my time getting on-page optimisation spot on and improving load times and other technical elements.
What are your thoughts?

No. Only backlinks on sites that are topically relevant will generate traffic. Who will click on a link if the topic isn't relevant to them? Hardly anyone - you might get the odd visitor.

Why do so many optimisers become obsessed with increasing web traffic levels? A visitor to your website has no value at all unless they purchase your goods or services or click on advertising.
I see thread after thread in these forums asking "How do I increase web traffic?" but have never seen...
I just noticed my Twitter page is PR3! WTF?
Seems very odd that it has gained PR3 in only a couple of months and I haven't created too many backlinks to it.
Was wondering, those of you who have Twitter pages - what Page Rank are they?

I'm sceptical. If they are so good at building links why is their home page only PR1? That's a very poor page rank when you consider my site has PR2, has only been in existence since last September and I only have a small number of backlinks.
Also, I doubt you'll find anyone who has used them...
