    Yeah, they don't limit their virtual servers - I think the limit is just on the shared plans. I'll try to dig out some info. Edit - Its 100mb, not 25mb.. 1and1 100mb Db limit

    1and1 actually limit the size of the database too. I can't remember if it was 25mb or not, but its something around there. Going by my past dealings with them, I'd stay well clear.

    cPanel will create the DNS automatically. You shouldn't need to do anything else apart from upload your files to that directory.

    It's usually counted as max space used. i.e we purchase 1TB of space and we can use up to that amount.

    99.95% is easy to achieve. That's over 20 minutes of downtime per month. Its not that hard to keep it above 99.99% if you have decent hardware and a solid network. I'm guessing he'd recommend his own company...
