i have to admit this has been the hardest thing any affiliate manager can do. I have been a affiliate for 8 years and have made a decent living at it.. Now working as a affiliate manager i see it is harder to find the people who know what their doing then working as a affiliate. So my question...
i always create blogs about thinsg i am intrested in.. then i find merchants to compliment what i have been blogging about.. you could really go either way i suppose.. personally i would craete the site/blog whatever about the niche you are familiar with and then build around it
wordpress is not only a good blogging script but an excellt CMS. use it!.. you can still maintain it the same way you would posts and as far as plug ins i am pretty sure most if not all work the same

we have video coming for all of our affiliates, trying to figure out how to incorporate the cj links in the video , they will be all in flv.
any press releases we normally submit from the main company same with articles. i suppose i could make those available to download

This has been the biggest challenge so far i would say. Finding what our affiliates need as far as marketing material and trying to implement some new stuff to help.

forums are soo much work to get started and most of all the keep going and monitored.Bodylastics has a forum i completely forgot about after i installed it.. after abut a year i went back while cleaning out the server and it has grown to a life of its own.. most hosts with cpanel or Fantastico...
