I have installed it during last update but really see no difference...
That's regarding both: looks and performance.
Mostly I do these routine updates every once a month or so ( I have automatic updates turned off) just in case there are some security patches or driver updates...
Having installed this I found that Norton 360 ceased working. After checking the Microsoft forums I discovered that there the install affects device manager and the networks panel with Norton products installed. There are 2 ways to resolve, either manual registry edits, or uninstall and reinstall again.
This service pack is in final version, and probably the last that will be released for XP. This is as stable as a service pack gets, the beta version had problems. From now onwards I would expect only patches and updates.
I had no problems after installing it on two systems. I didn't even know their were problems. It's Microsoft though, they usually screw everything up at some point.
