Maybe there are lots of people who overlook those ads but not all. There are billions of people using the net imagine a fraction of it caught it's attention to this ads, it would sum to a lot of money not to mention the exposure it gets. That's why internet marketing is successful because the audience is big and it's cheaper that any other advertisement.
