What forums do you post in that allow a link to your own website at the bottom?

From my experience, quite a few forums wont let you put in any links in at the bottom.

I was posting on one excellent Italian fourm that was just perfect for my Italy website but about a month after I joined it was closed down....

As in theory everybody is interested in holidays, I dont think I need to particually specialise in travel/holiday websites...

Well, you always get the link on the member list pages. Little value in that though.

Most forums are fairly well administered and so long as you make a decent contribution to the discussion for a reasonable length of time it will usually be acceptable to add a link into a post so long as it's relevant to the discussion and not blatent spam.

I find that most forums enable links - its only sites like sitepoint that dont allow them

Here at ukwebmasterworld, digitalpoint, dnlodge and other forums..
I think the reason why that Italian forums close was due to heavy
spamming and or maybe they were under construction and reconstructing
the forum.

i think most of the webmaster forums do allow links on their members signatures... and some of the don't allow porn sites on their signatures...

Just found this link

Forums Rankings - all software forums, all languages language, website ranking by posts

Which shows the most popular forums on the internet, so am going to try and sneak a few links onto my posts on some of these.

Well go and post links into your post but make sure that you dont spam the board and the link you are posting is relevant to the topic..
Remember one thing.. if you get banned from many high PR forums and site then google will penalize your site for which you are posting links and your effort will just be a waste...

well, some forums allow links in their post apart from signature but the number is very few.
So you be aware of that and be carefull while posting

I have today tried to get links into two of the biggest travel forums I can find in the Uk Holiday Truith and Holiday watchdog but they have both said no.

At the moment the only travel forum I can get onto is Aardvark Travel....

If you are banned the google wont know, many people on the internet still have a dynamic ip address so there would be no real way of keeping track , it would also be easier for you competitors to get you banned.

Most forums remove signatures for banned members.
