Hi all,
A quick over view about us and why we're here;
We're a Skipton-based healthcare products distributor and have just about finished getting an affiliate program up and running.
What we sell/Our market
Our product type is quite 'niche' (we sell incontinence products) so demographics are pretty critical to success I would say. There are between 3-6 million people in the UK* who experience bladder leakage/continence care issues - 3.2m of them are 65+**. The adult BL&CC market is predicted to grow by 58% between now and 2019 with projected sales of £192m***.
(Sources: * - SCA TENA. ** - Age UK. *** - Mintel)
Our market is growing as fewer and fewer people are able to get free supply of pads from the NHS - this is bit of a 'postcode lottery' and even those who can get a free supply often don't get their preferred pads, so buy privately.
Often we have the 'sandwich generation' ordering from us on behalf of aging parents, also wives tend to order on behalf of males, although male products are our most popular category.
A bit about us
We are a £25m business with multiple depots in the UK and one in Netherlands, supplying Europe. We are TENA's largest distributor in the UK, after the major supermarkets. Our core business is in the supply of the care home industry, but our sales to private individuals is growing, driven by the stats above. We're passionate about the crucial (and sensitive) service we provide to our customers and our reviews speak for themselves. Anyone wishing to visit our headquarters in Skipton would be very welcome.
I'd be really interested to hear a) from anyone interested in working with us and b) any general feedback about our offering. We're very flexible in approach and would actively encourage discussion with anyone who thinks they can send us suitable visitors (primarily 'online' but also 'offline'). We're keen to build up some good, long-term relationships whatever the volumes involved.
Having had a quick skim of various forums, it's clear that not all experiences with merchants are 'good' - what I can say about us is that we will always endeavour to be fair and open with anyone we conduct business with.
What we're offering
As this is our first foray into affiliate programs, we've opted to start off with the iDev Affiliate program.
We offer;
We're happy to discuss anything which you feel would help your performance - i.e. co-branding, offline stuff, specific landing pages, alternative marketing material etc etc.
Thanks for reading and please feel free to contact me either by replying to this post, private message or by DDI phone/email - 01756706001 / info@valueincontinence.co.uk
Cheers,
Bill Vellacott
