Should I submit my article to more than one directory?

Should I only submit my article to one article directory? I've originally submitted to ezinearticles.com but I've later added them to several other sites thinking that I'd get more exposure. Is this a bad thing? Should I just focus on one for now, since I'm a newbie?

I've heard it's bad for search engine rankings, etc.

What about a squidoo/hub pages?

There threads have lots of good tips about how many article directories to submit to and about hubpages and Squidoo.

Thanks Linda, didn't mean to make a seperate thread(when it was already in my last one)on this but someone sent me a message to do that since there was too many questions bunched up together.

submit to as many as you can find - to get the traffic from all those sites and to be indexed many times
