Running a game and the prizes

Apart from cash, what kind of prizes would you prefer when it comes to running small forum games?

New car's, holidays, weekend aways etc etc.

Nah, seriously. How much cash do you give away as a prize to start with? if it's lets say 200 GBP, why not consider a games console instead?

Or if it's not as much money, a game of their choice?

What about prizes that will help webmasters promote their sites, such as links etc

If you was entering a competition, would you want a link as a prize?

well yeah, depends on what type of forum.

examples:
A forum about electronics or gadgets can give usb drives or cool keyoards.

A gaming site could give games, consoles or gift cards to gaming stores.

lets say a money making forum now. they can give bux.to referrals, and all that

For webmaster forums give domains, backlinks, logo's (design stuff) or seo services.

Yeah. more details on the site, i might be able to go all day

Reckon some electrical items such as ipods, consoles, games would be great giveaways.

whatever your forum talks about, give that away as a prize, example, if your forum is about game consules, give that away. THere is a reason people visit your site.
