Yes, I was affiliate with maxbounty and recently they terminated my account for "fraud" reason which is Not true.

They have my $1,650 earnings in my account and refused to release the payment by saying some BS reasons which is not true at all.

The account manager Corey Maxbounty asked me to send him my photo ID in order to release the payment which I denied since there is no such regulations on their website Terms and Conditions. After sometime he said that "Just because you send it to me and confirm your account doesn't mean that the advertiser likes your traffic and will pay you for it" there it concludes maxbounty probably take my ID and threaten me. If maxbounty is not sure about releasing my payment then why are they asking my photo ID?

I request Canadian affiliates to report this illegal event to concerned legal department and avoid fraud acts which maxbounty is conducting. In fact I have raised complaint to Canadian department and waiting for their response.

Please check the screenshot.

I had to provide my passport to prove my ID to every network I've worked with, that's not out of the ordinary. Also, a W8BEN form. They need those things these days and we don't get paid without them.

I'm not convinced that they've done something illegal yet.

Anyway, maybe @MaxBountyAdam will pop in here next time he's in the forums. He may be able to offer some helpful information.

My question is that why did not maxbounty applied such actions in their Terms and Policy section where it represents the whole business module.
PS: Read more of my message about how maxbounty stole my $1,650.

Work for a Network -- you are an employee with no protections nor benefits -- that is just the way it is.
If you pay someone on a subcontract you have to report that income and have the right paperwork on file -- that is the law in most places.

Probably using a passport image for identification is safer than a driver's license as that document is normally not used for banking or credit applications.

Is the money to be sent by Wire ACH/ETF to a bank account with your name on it?

So, I think you are only here to complain about your issue with MaxBounty. You have two posts and they are both in this thread. We have seen this before, people that come here just to complain about company and not to be here for what this forum is all about, which is earning and building a business while sharing and helping others.

@MaxBountyAdam , have you some insight as to this persons claim?

At present, I do not see any proof that they owe you any money and I do not see any proof that they refuse to pay and the reasons why that they always send by email.

Jacob Hicks, please post proof of your claim or this thread will be removed.

I am very happy to put the proof that maxbounty owe me $1650. Please me a moment to collect the proof and get back to you. Thanks for reminding me.

i think website should mention all the things required in case.... then what is the point of it is being legal business entity. i think we should wait for the proof that he claims to be.

Its not the way it is, its just illegal.

Jacob Hicks Mate, MaxBounty or any other network always requires ID verification nowadays to make sure that they are dealing with a legit person especially when it's related to money.

Couple of days ago I opened an account at Paxum (a payment gateway) and they wanted not one, but two ID proofs, one to confirm my street address, and the other to verify my national identity and I just submitted both of the documents that had both proofs of my identity. It's just how things work ONLINE!

And as you said they terminated your account, what kind of traffic were you sending? Were you sending real traffic or bots or something like that? Because MaxBounty is ONE of the BIGGEST names in the market. They won't just terminate an account for no reason. They want you to make money. If you make money, they make money.

And please post any proof of the amount they are holding, like an email or something or anything that shows that amount.

I believe they want to know you are a real person because there are so many fraudsters around who sign up with fake information.

It's not 'illegal' in the USA and probably not under Canadian law to require ID.

In the USA an payer is liable for paying the payee's income tax if he doesn't have reasonable ID on file including sworn w-9 or w-10 documents -- stop talking sh*t.

Just offer them the cover page of your passport held next to your face -- take a selfie :p

Nope, not illegal, here in Canada. They aren't asking for a social insurance number, only proof of ID for government purposes. So they can prove, if need be, who they paid. Cripes, you have to provide ID just to get a casino reward card here!

The W8 (BEN) forms that I have to fill out for any type of freelance work I do in the States, is to affirm that I live and work outside of the U.S. so I only have to pay tax in Canada and not in both Canada and the U.S.

Don't wanna be nosy and all, but what is taking OP so long just to show a proof of pending payment of that amount from MaxBounty? He can just show us the email regarding that pending amount or anything such.

I tried to upload it says I need additional requirements to post the link. Is this why you asked me for proof because you know I cannot put URL's here?

Governments that impose penalties on employers should have a look-up to validate ID's submitted also. Employer's get a mia-no-culpa if they ask for documents and use *reasonable* practices to validate them on their own. Maybe, there are lookups now?

Do you know how many real good forged ID docs are submitted to webcam sites to obtain model accountants :eek::mad:
Underage (that's a felony) and fake for tax evasion purposes (also a felony). Why do you think that they shut FirstChoice Bank down in Belize? Ask the people at Paxum and Payoneer ....

Hey everyone. Jacob was terminated after it came to light that his leads were all being generated falsely through proxies. He was running a campaign that has cpa of $550 and generated 5 leads out of nowhere and ALL of them are through a proxy server. We asked for Jacob to send photo id to verify his identity and he refused so his account was terminated. It's possible that the account is reopened and further investigation can be done into the traffic, but the starter here was to prove he was who he said he was, because there are always accounts being bought and sold and we need to protect against that as best we can. So Jacob, we are well within our rights to ask you to supply us with your photo id. Do so, and this conversation can continue. Don't and there is nothing further we can do here.

You can easily upload a SS of any kind right?

Wow Jacob, you CAN'T escape from a company as big as MaxBounty by using unethical ways to make money. But if you can prove Adam wrong, simply just give him the proofs that he want. It is as simple as that.

Why create all the fuzz and wasting everyone's time including yours? Just prove yourself through all kinds of verification and if you are right, I'm sure MaxBounty will do the right thing. If you don't want to do that, just keep quiet. Shouting ain't gonna help dude.

Do you think I going to lose my money again by proceeding with your BS business?
thanks for posting this thread. in fact i did loss lot of money from maxbounty affiliate... the guy ryan from maxbounty is absolutely rude and unprofessional.
Thanks for coming around and checking out my experience... I hope you faced the same problem in past.... thanks again.

Why don't you just upload your freakin ID and solve the matter if you're legit as you say you are? -_-
Why dragging for the matter for no reason when everything can be solved in a minute?

Wait, are you a celebrity as you don't want to upload ID?
