Protecting affiliate ID's

Is there a way to protect affiliate Id's? Like a code or something? How do I make a "click here" happen for a hop ad link? I've been trying to figure this out for 2 weeks

Well, I just wrote a long detailed reply to this, and found out I can't post it because I'm not allowed to post links - even fake ones, apparently.

Oh well. What you want to do is Google php redirects to find out how to cloak your affiliate links, and hyperlink text to find out how to use a "click here" type link.
