Make Money By Changing Your Reality...

Hi Everyone,

This isn't necessarily marketing advice but it is something I think holds a lot of people who are new to the Internet marketing world back. Hopefully you'll find it useful.

You're strong enough to break free now, but only if you believe you are...

From the time you were a child you were taught to follow the leader and obey authority. Rarely were you ever told that you could be the leader or authority figure that other people follow. As you grew up, you slowly got conditioned to believe that you have certain limitations and that you should ?stick to what you?re good at?.

What the mind believes becomes your reality...

If you believe that you should only stick to what you?re good at and you believe in certain limitations you've been told you have then you will forever toil in obscurity knowing that you deserve better but never believing you can actually do something about it.

The "Broken" Elephant syndrome...

Do you know how elephants in captivity are restrained to keep them from busting loose and hurting their handlers in an attempt to get back the freedom that was taken from them? A simple rope is tied around their leg keeps them in check. You?re probably wondering how in the world a tiny little rope keeps a 9,000+ pound animal from running wild. A simple rope can restrain an elephant because the elephant believes it can. A rope is like tissue paper to a full-grown elephant but it holds them in place anyway because it's spirit and desire to resist has been broken.

A full-grown elephant can uproot a tree but...

You see newborn elephants weigh between 150-200 pounds or 333 to 444 kilos which isn?t small and weak by any means so the handlers (instead of using a rope) sometimes tie a steel chain to the young elephants leg and tie it to something that will not budge. Of course the elephant tries to break free but it can?t.

As the elephant grows up it learns to accept the fact that it can?t break free. Once it accepts that as fact, a simple rope can then be used no matter how big and strong the elephant gets. A full-grown elephant can uproot a tree so of course it could easily break a rope; if it believed it could. Since it doesn?t believe it?s possible. It?s not.

It's a trap many of us fall into...

As children we have so many hopes and dreams about the future until it?s finally drilled into our heads that we just have to accept our lot in life and do what the masses do. It?s like we have our leg tied to a steak in the ground with a steel chain until we?re convinced there?s no way we can break free. The thing is... that steel chain (since you have become an adult) has now become a piece of string but it still feels like a steel chain.

Children believe (and rightly so) that virtually anything is possible if you believe it strongly enough. It isn?t until years of being told what can and can?t be done that a once hopeful, creative child becomes a ?lifer? stuck in a dead end job convinced that?s the best they can do.

For years you?ve been made to believe that what you have done so far in your life is about the best you can expect to do. If you believe that then you?re right. Your mind wants to bring about the consequences of its beliefs. If you don?t believe you can achieve more than you already have then you will subconsciously sabotage your own efforts to move forward just to prove yourself right. Your beliefs will become your reality so be very careful what you believe.

Let me ask you something...

What?s the title of the last ebook, report or article you wrote? Have you even written anything? If not, why not?

The one thing that stops most people from doing what they?re capable of is the belief that what they have to say isn?t good enough. You may be thinking, ?Who am I to write a report?? or ?Who am I to write an ebook?? If in the reality you've decided to live in, you're not in a position of power, you've decided to be happy with being at the whim of those who are. The money you make is a result of the status you claim.

Claim the status of author, and you can publish a bestselling information product. Claim the status of a coach, and you can help other people who have not yet realized their own potential get results faster than they ever could on their own. Claim the status as an expert on "Insert Topic Here" and you can build a following of people who look to you for answers.

It's a fact...

All the people out there who you consider to be gurus have that status because they went out and took it. They didn?t wait around for someone to appoint them. No one is important enough to appoint you to anything and even if they were, they wouldn't even bother until you decided to step up and take on the role you want to be known for.

No one will give you anything you?re not willing to take. Few people are willing to step up and be their own guru; their own authority; their own leader because if they do, they would be responsible for their own actions and it?s much easier to blame someone other than yourself if things go wrong.

The rewards you reap in life are in direct proportion to the chances you take. If you've decided to play it safe and never stick your head above the crowd then you've also decided to live with whatever happens to come your way and if that's the case, you haven't earned the right to complain about your situation. If you don't like the situation you're in, change it because it's well within your power to do so.

And if you don't believe that's the truth then read this message again.

Best Wishes,

Anthony,

Timeless lessons dude.

I equate the typical "life path" as that dream (nightmare) some have of drowning in the ocean...it's so hard to swim to the top and break your head out of the water to take a breath, that the average person is content to drown.

"Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right."
--Henry Ford

That quote is so true.

Once I truly "thought I could", no, check that..."believed with a passion that I could"...I did.

My life has never been the same since.

Great article Anthony!

This is a great post and I truly like the part above as I was taught "a child is a product of their environment". But so are adults.

If you dream, you believe,
If you believe, you achieve,
If you achieve, you succeed.

To your success!
