Keyword Density or Frequency

Can anyone explain, whether there is any difference between keyword density and keyword frequency?

Maybe the difference is in scope?

one page or an entire website

I am thinking more of scope as used in computer programming

Keyword density is more like keyword proximity in my opinion. It is the weight of your keywords brought about by how close they are and how well placed in the text they are. For example on headings, subheadings, begin of sentensed and so on. Keyword frequency is simply how many times you use your key phrase in your text. There is a close relationship between both terms since they both affect how your Keywords perform in SEO optimization.
