Facebook is one of the best social-media sites out there and majority of my leads come from Facebook friends.. So it works for me but really it depends on your niche and the audience that you have as friends.

I don't have a fb account but Luke (the king of FB marketing) sure does and he's still using it strong and making money. Highly recommend you read his threads and blog, if you're thinking of monetizing on Facebook.
