Hey everyone! I'm Jordan!
I have done online marketing off and on over the years and this time around I'm hoping to take it more seriously and build something sustainable.
As soon as I saw the internet as a kid in the 1990s, I started trying to learn how to build websites. When I turned 18 (in 2007), I first started trying to make money online and didn't have much success at first.
My first success was around 2010 when I was introduced to CPALead which was the big IM fad at the time. I found a traffic source that no one else was using and made up to a few hundred dollars a day for a few months ($10k+ total) until I lost that traffic source and that income stream was gone overnight.
Then I started marketing CPALead on Facebook groups before very many other people were doing that and I made a few thousand dollars before they deleted my account. I was dumb and was using my personal Facebook account for this marketing and after emailing people at Facebook and begging them, I got my account back but was banned from using Facebook Ads (even though I never actually used their ads).
After that experience, I stopped doing internet marketing for a while. I have done it off and on over the last few years making a few hundred dollars here and there when I have a good idea, but now I want to really do it the right way. Unlike in the past, I have a good job now and I can afford to invest in the right tools and take time to experiment and learn without worrying about making enough to cover rent.
I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences, opinions, and knowledge with all of you as you share yours with me!
By the way, can anyone get me up to speed on the current status of the industry? It doesn't seem to be as active as it was a few years ago.
