You are quite right about the methords you suggested above, I fond that you can also achive top 10 Google ranking by some additonal methords including:
* link exchange
* Good social networking (twitter, facebook etc) ranking.
You can also use some of the webmaster toold forum at Webmaster Serve to help you get to top position

A nice list of SEO activities there. Of course it is impossible to guarantee that such activities can always result in top 10 positions. I doubt it would be possible to get top 10 rankings for 'free porn' using these techniques. It's just too competitive.
