Google anti directory drive working ?

Far less directories seem to be created post Google anti directory stance, in the past hardly a day go bye without a new directory being announced.

Do you think this is a good thing or a bad thing?

I agree with you about Niche domain being on the increase. I am planning about 10 niche directories in the next few months, not because I really want to create those directories, I just want to use them to demonstrate the 'network directory' feature of my link bid script .

New blogs are on the increase though, webmasters that I know who creates a few new directories every month in the past now seem to create a few blogs every month.
