e-commerce website vs. starting a blog

Hello guys,

I have been looking around at several ideas for starting an e-commerce website vs. starting a blog and running some type of advertisement on it. I know this is a very general question, but which one do you think will require more time commitment to get going? It seems to be a blog will require less time and money but that might mean the return will be less.

Any thoughts?

Start a blog first, get some targeted traffic.
It is easier to get those who trust you to buy things rather than strangers.

Blogs are actually very time consuming you have to keep it up-to-date every day where as a e-commerce site you can but do not need to, i would say they both have their good and their bad points it depends what you want to sell and what you want to blog about a blog is usually known as a one way communication tool from one person to lots whereas an e-commerce site doesn't have that personal approach so i guess its upto your target audience.
