Do we need Landers on Banner ads?

Hi friends..

I have read that landers are must when running the pop under traffic but are landers required even on mobile banner ads?

I mean the user is clicking on the banner and seems to be interested in that.

So I was just curious to find out if we can go with the direct linking or still we use the lander....

Depends on the vertical. On adult pin-submits often run campaings without lender or with tube-lander. For mainstream as antivirus, sweeps, games use landers necessarily, at least because exit-block burst ROI and for check bots.
On white-list campaigns use split-test lander/direct.
