Generally speaking the process is the same, focus on Google and let Yahoo/Bing and others work themselves out since Google has at least 2/3rds of all SE traffic. That being said, Yahoo tends to put more focus on on page factors and other things more out of your control (domain age as an example).
No, there no different work you have to perform SEO to get good results in yahoo or google you have to perform the same task and the result will be good in both the search engine.
