Copyright info?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering, do I have to copyright my website content to prevent the information being stolen? If so what's the best way to go about doing it. Is the copyright appearing on the site, or do I copy my posts to word docs and copyright them individually?

Put a copyright notice in your footer so it appears on every page of your site.

It won't necessarily prevent content theft but it will perhaps give you some legal recourse.

I'd also use Copyscape (Copyscape - Search for Website Plagiarism and Duplicate Content Online) and post a button on your site.

Once again, can't prevent it, but it should deter it a bit more. Also helps you check to see if your content is being copied.

I know you run under a blog format as well, so make sure you interlink your site well. I would recommend, personally, that you do so at least once a week. This will give you a pingback notice when someone is using your content through an RSS feed as you will get a link.
