I am currently working on developing a site that will cover a pretty broad range of topics related to one particular category. I would like to outsource a lot of this content to people/organizations who do this. Anyone have any suggestions on who to hire for this? I have done some searches but thought I would see if there were any suggestions as well.

You are better off doing it yourself, but there is always e lance and places like it. You should find writers that have a Yahoo Voices account and have a great history that spans a least a year. Quality content is not cheap, and cheap content will get you hit by panda.
You may think you can get by with lesser quality content, but you will waste your time, money and resources if you hire a second rate writer.
I will not hire a writer without a degree in English, two years of Sociology and it is a bonus if they have some psychology or Journalism.
