If you aren't using blog marketing yet or if your existing blogs have not reached their revenue-generating potential, then you need to read this post.

Our friends and clients over at <strong><a href="http://www.5staraffiliateprograms.com/revenuewire">RevenueWire</a></strong> write the best blog in the biz, IMHO. Entertaining, power-packed info and great pics too. Check it out and take notes!

<strong><a href="http://blog.revenuewire.com/index.php/2010/05/dont-be-shy-flaunt-that-blog/">Don?t be Shy, Flaunt That Blog!</a></strong>

All the rage with PPC has left some major affiliate cake on the table. Just sitting there, all alone and needing a home. Here?s a bug in your year. That coin could be lining your pocket. How? One of the best ways to rake in affiliate revenue? It?s spelled B-L-O-G. No, it?s not a miraculously attractive word, but it can drive traffic and conversions like an ox.

That?s because blogs are the heavy-lifters of the Internet. They?re the beast of burden that all the freshest of the fresh daily content gets loaded onto. Readers flock to them to get their daily feed of pulp news, knowledge, buzz, anecdote, and gossip. They?re also a great way to ?presell? to your target consumer too.

Man today it has really hit home that you need a good blog that offers value, this post has just topped it off.

For my next site i am going to make my blog posts as long and valuable as possible.
I think today is a turning point for me.

Valuable, yes. Long? Maybe not. Blog readers are a flighty bunch who are quick to jump to the next link. Give them too much information in a single post, and you'll lose them.

Give great value, and make sure it's well-organized with subheadings and bullet points for easy skimming, and you'll be in good shape. :)

If it's riveting prose, long won't generally turn people off but I agree with Cindy: Don't aim for long - aim for concise.

I mean i will try and put as much value into my posts which usually makes it long. I don't just want to drone on about nothing and lose the customers attention.

Ted, if it takes a long post to get the message across then so be it. I would suuggest that if you think the posts are getting long, break it up with images and graphs.

What's that saying about a picture and a thousand words? :)

Orgonization is a good to have as a blogger. If you are OCD with your wordpress, this may benefit your bloggin efforts. :D

Blog really drives traffic and conversion. I've been using this method for years and it gives me good result. I agree with Cindy, we can never rely on this for long because internet marketing has it changes everyday. :)

is it fine to rewrite an article from ezine? I mean the overarching thoughts are the same but written differently...does it give it a new touch?

yes you can do that..but the value perceived will be extremely low...if you want repeat visitors you have to give them something new and different.

Great post! Yes totally agree! It doesn't matter how long it is as long as you have GREAT content and get the point across in your blog your golden! The thing is most people dont want to sit around reading a LONG drawn out thing, the best way that has worked for me is to just get to the point and and don't ramble on!

Rambling is great for those that need to get multiple points across. As long as you have a link within each thought leading them to "more info" if they want it but also getting the primary point across inside of the original post!
