Accepting pics from readers of your blog

I have an idea for my blog that would involve (hopefully) getting pictures from readers on a daily basis. I don't want every picture to be published (there's probable risk for "fakes" in what I'll be doing, so I want to be able to judge them for myself before I post them). What's the best way of accepting these? Should I just have my readers e-mail me the pics (would this even be safe? What about spam)? Or, would it be best to make the reader send me a flickr link? My hope is that this will eventually become a high-traffic site, so I don't want to be inundated with pics from readers . . . and I want to make it as easy for the readers as possible to send me a pic.

I would think for review purposes I would use email, but set up a special account just for that purpose, preferably on your hosting email accounts, to avoide free email SPAM. Also not everyone uses Flickr so you might be losing a whole bunch of prospects using that route.
