I am reminded of the arms dealer that was a focus of investigation which revealed they were selling arms to both sides of a conflict. When confronted with this fact, and asked where their loyalties were, they responded with "For the time being my loyalties are with the last one that paid me!".

Seems like an awfully a lot of things to do, but I guess it is as it is. :) Some tips should be done as soon as the website is done, but others need to be done and checked on a regular basis, as they could really improve the quality and ranking of the site, and we all know how difficult it is to achieve anything big on Google nowadays.

I had someone tell me yesterday that SEO is completely unnecessary and all of it is a hoax.
Yes and no ... common sense is that good content and usability UX creates return visitors, user loyalty and trust --that will (or 'should') improve your referrals from search engines as they also need to maintain user loyalty.

Users will not be loyal to search engines that deliver useless content.

I am not sure who the dog is and who the fleas are --but I know who is sucking the blood ;)
I never do as I am told lolz --I depend on reason, logic and empirical evidence.

Google has always had ulterior motives in their rants. Eric Schmidt destroyed Google and built it into Alphabet (also known as the 3v1L 3mp1r3).
