Wireless Or CAT5?

My PC is hard wired to my wireless Linksys router, but my daughter and wife
are both wireless. I've noticed that I have the best throughput. So I wanted
to ask you all if you prefer wireless convince versus a faster connection?

I prefer wireless when i'm on my laptop but wired when on my PC.
Wired is much faster compared to wireless but you won't notice once you get going on a wireless network

I use wireless for my laptop which I use pretty much. Although my desktop PC's are wired. The speed is pretty obvious, although the latest routers (bought a new one last month) do offer a very nice speed.

I like the freedom wirless offer as opposed to wired. Wired is somehow more stable than wireless though

I pulled wires all over my house. The only time I use wireless connection when I am on the road - you can not compare speed and reliability between these two...

I think wireless is more for casual home users

I use only wired connections. In Ro wireless is not developed as I would like it to be so wired is better.

I did have wireless but it was a bit sketchy and now I am back to wired.

When my son had wireless upstairs he was always loosing his connection whilst play WOW so I ended up putting a lan card in and getting a patch over cable up to his room. No more problems.

who said anything about unsecured - my neighbours passwords are incredibly easy to guess!!

You using G or DraftN? N should give you no connection issues within most houses... You are going to want to secure that puppy tho, can be leached form a pretty good distance depending on the router you pick up
